In 1993 Zvezdana Mlakar and Barbara Lapajne had a premiere of their theatre performance "Men Under the Bed", based on the literary work by Duško Radović, "Women Talk". They have performed the play for several seasons, had guest appearances all over Slovenia, and altogether the play saw more than 100 repeats.

Together and individually they have also performed in schools, kindergartens and hospitals, organising fairytale hours and children's workshops. Thus a series of fairytales by Barbara Lapajne Predin, "And We Went...", was created.

In order to realise their plans more easily, Zvezdana, Barbara and their friends founded the KUD Levi breg cultural society. Their first performance was "Tracksuit" by Milan Jesih, staged all over Slovenia.

The next performance, Ghosts by H. Ibsen, co‑produced by the KUD Levi breg cultural society and Gyrus d.o.o. company, saw more than 50 repeats in a single season.

In 2008 Barbara Lapajne Predin transferred her activities to the Artbiro agency.

In 2009 she staged the performance "Sahib - Depression Impressions" by Nenad Veličković in co‑production with the Cankarjev dom cultural centre and with the support of the Ministry of Culture.

For children, Artbiro also offers the the performance "Rosemary the Cow" by Andri Beyeler as part of its repertoire.

Each year Artbiro also prepares a series of fairy tales and children's workshops.
